History

AURA Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening digital skills and supporting communities in Burundi. Founded by Dr. Chamy Mikaza, the Foundation focuses on promoting digital education, assisting vulnerable individuals, and enhancing local culture through artistic projects. The Foundation's objectives include:
✅ Promoting digital education in fundamental and post-fundamental schools.
✅ Providing moral and economic support to prisoners.
✅ Assisting dependent elderly individuals.
✅ Promoting artistic works produced in Kirundi, particularly in the Gospel music sector. The Foundation’s vision is to create an environment where digital technologies are meaningfully integrated into education and daily life while supporting vulnerable groups and enriching local culture. AURA Foundation was officially approved by Ministerial Order No. 540/371 on March 13, 2024, following an accreditation request submitted on August 17, 2023, by Dr. Chamy, the president and legal representative of the AURA FOUNDATION.
